The resident staff writer of JLF, Alex Moody and I went to Wildwood, NJ, the Doo-Wop capital of the world to film the pilot episode. The goal of the road trip was to explore the famous boardwalks of the New Jersey shore, starting with the Southern most towns, then driving North up the Coastline. Beginning in Wildwood, the episodes would have focused on Ocean City, Atlantic City, Point Pleasant, and finally, Asbury Park. The journey was meant to highlight each city’s distinct personality and ambiance.

Dark Side of the Sole - March 2007 Jake Leg Films
Dark Side of the Sole is a retelling of Joseph Conrad's short classic Heart of Darkness, set during the summer in New York City. The intention of the filmmaker is to create a spectacular film of epic action adventure within the New York restaurant world, while at the same time working from a nonexistent budget. The lack of a budget is used as a story device. Since the story is being told from the point of view of a fringe worker the desperation and quality only adds to the character development and surreal approach. The film will use the unique imagery of New York City, its avenues, side streets, congestion and overlapping cultures, to illustrate the urban jungle atmosphere. The tension is derived not only from lampooning Coppola's style in Apocalypse Now , and the over the top situations our hero finds himself in, but also from making one of literatures grimmest novels into a farce. By journey's end, the audience has been taken through an Alice in Wonderland experience within Manhattan's eating world.
Help Sameer Public Service Announcement - July 2007 Jake Leg Films
A sixty second public service announcement that aired on WYBE TV in New Jersey, featuring the actor Kal Penn. The ‘helpsameer.org' joined forces with www.helpvinay.org , a foundation started to help another person who has been afflicted with Leukemia. Kal Penn, along with a few other actors, was kind enough to donate their time to shoot a few PSAs for Vinay. I was allowed to use part of this PSA and stretch it into a longer piece ready for television.
